Amelie and I tagged along with Nana and PawPaw on a mini trip to San Antonio and Gruene. We had a fabulous time! The sleeping arrangements were a bit tough (for me anyway) because Amelie does not like to sleeping anywhere but in her own bed. We shared a bed and I got slapped and kicked all night... when she finally got to sleep. But she slept well at nap times in her stroller while Nana and I shopped. She also slept well in the car and she was on her best behavior in the restaurants. Her favorites: chasing the birds in the square in her purple boots that she would not take off because they are another favorite, and playing in the kid pool at the hotel. That was, by far, the funnest thing she has ever done! Meanwhile, I hated it! The child has NO FEAR of anything so running head first into the water was a new experience that she just had to try over and over... and over. Oh yeah, she tries to float on her back too (not so fun for over protective mommies). Oh, and on the way home PawPaw stopped at a bbq restaurant that had stuffed heads of all different kinds of animals all over the walls and even whole stuffed animals on the floor. Amelie went CRAZY! She loved it so much!!! She was too excited to eat. All she could do was walk around the restaurant pointing, laughing, screaming, and shouting 'what's that? Grr' Good thing they were about to close and we were the only people in the restaurant. Too bad I didn't have my camera. Anyway, we all had a great great time!
