Yesterday Rick and I took Amelie to the Houston Zoo for the first time. She loved it! Her favorite animal is a lion/tiger and she got to see them and mimic their animal sounds. Actually, she's getting good at making lots of animal sounds. (Mom was impressed that she knew what a 'duck' was when Mom held up a rubber duckie and said 'what's this?'.) BTW, she also knows all of her facial features, hands, feet... thanks to the lovely song "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes" that I get to hear in the car over and over and she tries to sing the alphabet song when it comes on. The alphabet song is her favorite. Anyway, I think her favorite part of the zoo was getting out of her stroller and walking around. Ohh, and the petting zoo... until she picked up some goat poop and we had to make an emergency run to the nearest faucet and soap dispenser - good times!
