Last weekend we held Amelie's First Birthday Party. (I know, a little late but it actually turned out to be perfect timing because of the excellent weather. I may do that for all of her birthdays! haha) Janet said she would be honored to have it at her house. She is a fabulous cook and she made chicken and beef fajitas with ALL of the fixins! Mom and I went to Janet's house a few days before to set everything up. I had planned for it to be a small ordeal but then I started seeing online how some Moms go ALL OUT for their child's 1st Birthday so I decided to jazz it up a little. It was ice cream themed. The only mishap is that she had a super cute party outfit that I completely forgot to bring! Good thing she had an emergency pink outfit in her diaper bag! She could not have cared less about what she was wearing. When everyone sang 'Happy Birthday' to her, she just LIT UP with a huge smile! It was the cutest thing! I wish I had told someone to take a video of it because when they all said her name in the song, she started smiling and looking at everyone staring at her. Yep, she got it! 'They're all here because of ME!' So cute!
