Rick and I watched 'The Business of Being Born' last night. I was pretty sure I wanted a midwife to deliver our baby in the water but that documentary confirmed it, although it was a rather biased documentary. I found a lovely birthing center in North Houston that we toured a few weeks ago and I really liked it. We also toured the hospital that my current doctor delivers at just to make sure I was making the right decision and the difference was night and day. BTW, Rick left this one entirely up to me but once my decision was clear, he told me that the birthing center was his preference too. The choice was pretty easy for me but getting our insurance to pay for the birthing center was more difficult. Luckily, that is sorted and I was reading the Consent Form for enrollment in the birthing center when I stumbled upon this...
